CD Based Teaching Tools
Utilising PowerPoint Presentations |
| Summary |
Our objective was
was design a series of CD based teaching
tools utilising PowerPoint presentations
and video and audio material. As a result
Epiimedia has created a fully interactive,
state of the art set of multimedia learning
tools. These CDs are based on self-directed
learing principles and our experience
with different teaching methods.
Our design was based on close consulation
with the program director and combined
vital elements of: auditory and visual
stimulation. The student is not only
seeing what is happening on screen in
the form of animation but can also see
the teacher, read the information and
hear the audio track. As a lot of the
distance courses that we have helped
to develop have students based all around
the globe this approach allows to maximise
the human factor of distance education.
The CDs also contain many other features
such as indexed chapters, password protection,
embedded hyperlinks, and the ability
for students to log their participation
inn having watched the CD directly into
the Moodle LMS.
